  • 1Tbsp Seaweed flakes
  • 1Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2Tbsp Dill
  • 1/2tsp Dried garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 1tsp Paprika powder
  • 1/4tsp Black pepper
  • 1 1/2Cups Beer

VEGAN FISH AND CHIPS

Marinate for about 24 hours.

INGREDIENTS
For the marinade:
  • Hot water
  • 300g Banan Blossoms
  • 1Tbsp Seaweed flakes
  • 1Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2Tbsp Dill
  • 1/2tsp Dried garlic powder
  • 1tsp Salt
For the batter:
  • 1 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 1tsp Paprika powder
  • 1/4tsp Black pepper
  • 1 1/2Cups Beer
INSTRUCTIONS

Prep: Drain the banana blossoms.

Marinate: Cover the banana blossoms with hot water, mix with seaweed flakes, lemon juice, dill, salt and dried garlic powder. Set aside and let marinate for up to 24 hours (min.1h).

Batter: Mix the flour with paprika powder, salt and ground black pepper. Add slowly beer and mix until smooth. Refrigerate for ca. 10 minutes.

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Squeeze out the banana blossoms.
  2. Coat them with flour.
  3. Dip the banana blossoms in the batter.
  4. Stir fry until golden.
NOTES

Serve with chips and soyanaise, if you don`t like garlic just leave it out. You can spice the marinate up with a bit of sage. Enjoy!
